Hello am back! I have made some connection with the dust bowl and the Great Depression that happened in the time when Esperanza was working in the fields.
Some people died because they get sick. Esperanza's mother got sick from the Dust bowl.
Every time that it's going to be a dust storm, the sky gets dark with amber clouds and several brown tumbleweeds.
They were sending Mexican-Americans back to Mexico even if they were born in here and they used to live their whole life in here.
we have a few pages to finish the book, tomorrow i will finished it.

Esperanzas's choices
Does Esperanza has to make a choice?
Her choices is that if she whats to be happy or unhappy.
Esperanza can't believe that she is poor, because she doesn't like the people that is poor she things that she is rich.
I think that Esperanza is acting mean with everybody, because she things that is not the place that she has to be in.
I don't think she is felling comfortable with poor people.
what to you think is the better choice?

Simile of Esperanza
what is a simile?
Simile is using like or as, it compares words and things.n
The author use the simile to star thinking on a action.
I star thinking and i did a simile to express the book.
Esperanza is moving away on the train like a bird flying to a new place.
Esperanza is acting mean like a snake fighting for her food.
Here are some similes that we found in the book.
The guavas smell fresh and sweet like pears and oranges all in one.
She remember standing on a chair with her arms outstretched like a bird ready for flight.
Car with rows of wooden benches like church pews facing each other.

+challenges in her life+
I think that Esperanza is facing a hard time right now. Her challenge is to move to the United states and live in El Rancho de las Rosas any more, the other challenge that Esperanza is facing is that her dad died. I don't think that Esperanza is feeling so happy. I think think she is very upset because her uncle want's to get marred whit her mother. She doesn't wanted to because her uncle is her dad's brother. She is feeling very badly. She has reason to bee sad. Esperanza thought the every thing would be so happy, but her grandmother said no hay Rosas sin Espinaz. She has allot of sadnesses in her but she can't returned every think like it was.
No hay Rosas sin Espinasz = Is not roses with out thorns

Why did Tio Luis burn Esperanza's house?
Hello, I'm back from Washington D.C.
I read the book and I read that Esperanza's house was burning! and she couldn't find her grandmother. Then she thought it was a dream. I think Esperanza is feeling sad and bad because she has to leave El Rancho de las Rosas and she doesn't want to. She sad because her uncle wants to get married with her mother. He burned the house because then Esperanza's mother couldn't get money from the grapes that he burned. Esperanza knew that he did it.
I think that Tio Luis killed his brother.

Las Mañanitas
This song is representing when it's your birthday. That song for me is very special. Esperanza was imagining to have that song after her dad died.

My thoughts after reading the beginning...
I think that she has everything she wants, she has money and love. I know that she doesn't want to leave El Rancho de las Rosas. She is happy living there. But there will be some reasons why she has to leave El Rancho de las Rosas.
